Judge’s comments: “I like this work as it relates to the age and interests of the artist.  There is a sense of theatre about it, enhanced by strong side light and absence of background.  The bed appears to float.  The unsettled figures invite the question, ‘What are they looking at?’  I also like the contrast of light/dark shapes and minimal colour.  A mature work.”
