Saturday 14th May, 2022.
Lino printing, also known as Linocut, is a popular and easy to carve form of printmaking as an alternative to wood. The printmaking process involves creating a design and carving into the linoleum with lino cutting tools or chisels.
The lino cut is then coated with ink. Paper is placed over it, it is passed through the press or rolled by hand, and the pressure transfers the inked design onto the paper.
In this workshop, we will have time to experience working with traditional lino or vinyl as well as soft cut lino.
