The Workshop:
Maxine will present a variety of subjects to explore, using a VALUE SCALE (from white paper to darkest colour) …skip the difficulties of colour mixing! All you have to do is alter the proportions of water and paint to show light, shade and form. These exercises will teach you the importance of VALUES. You will also practice and review watercolour techniques of wet into wet, drybrush and glazing… and the importance of leaving the white of the paper!
