Opening of Emerald Arts Society Annual Art Exhibition. We were delighted that Jack Kowarzik, former Mayor of Cardinia Shire Council agreed to open the exhibition which was attended by many excited artists, with family and friends. We are grateful to the shire for their continued support of this event over many years. We thank the judge for this year, Barbara Tyson, who worked tirelessly to ensure that all artworks in each category were thoroughly scrutinized. Thanks to the Dudley Family, the introduction of the June Barnett Still Life award in this year’s annual art exhibition will continue to play a major role in future exhibitions and will serve to recognise June’s contribution to the arts society and her wonderful abilities as an artist and a teacher.
